globalwishestravel

Attention all dog lovers who are traveling with their favorite canine companions into the United States. Effective August 1, 2024, all dogs traveling to the United States will need to follow the below entry requirements* from the Center for Disease Control (CDC):

  • All dogs must appear healthy upon arrival;

  • Dogs entering the United States must be at least six months of age;

  • Each dog must be microchipped;

Travelers must have a CDC Dog Import Form online submission receipt accompanying their dog (available on the CDC website).

*Requirements will vary depending on if the dog is coming from a Rabies-free, low or high-risk country within the last six months. A list of requirements can be found on the CDC website to assist travelers with these new regulations, depending on the scenario applicable to them.
